About CSAE

The Centre for Sustainable Aquatic Ecosystems (CSAE) was established in 2018 to replace the Centre for Fish & Fisheries Research (CFFR) at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia, which was established in 2000 in recognition of a history of sustained and internationally recognised excellence in research and postgraduate training in fish and fisheries biology. The new Centre was established in recognition of our research excellence across all aquatic ecosystems.

The quality of research and postgraduate training is reflected in members of the Centre having published over 600 papers in leading international journals, the receipt of substantial funding from State, National and International sources, and the graduation of almost 100 MPhil and PhD students.
